Cherry Vyas (Thing One) ▪ 17/Killjoy Initiate ▪ Nia Lovelis ▪ OPEN/CLOSED
"Tattoos and a switchblade attitude/Snakebite heart with a bubblegum smile/Sex in stereo don’t turn the radio down"
Since they could both walk and talk, Lily and Cherry’s lives have revolved around each other. Anything one did, the other did too, or at least tagged along to watch. Despite their drastic personality differences; Cherry being more outgoing and flirtatious, Lily being more bookish and closed off. Their strong bond was put to the test when the girls’ parents split and they were left in the custody of a less-than-happy father. Lily and Cherry protected each other the best they could, but the girls were no match for a grown man. The best they could do was be there for the other when it was all over. As the older sister, Cherry felt a duty to take most of the abuse and mouthed off a lot to keep unwanted attention off of her sister. While Lily appreciated the sentiment, she couldn’t help but feel guilty seeing all the physical pain her big sister was in.
When the girls’ dad joined the Draculoid force, there wasn’t a moment of hesitation- they were going to find the Killjoys and fall into their ranks. The Killjoy that recruited them was none other than Fun Ghoul. Since he met Lily and Cherry, he had been extremely protective of them. Especially after hearing about their past and what their father put them through. After cutting a deal with Bitter Sweetheart, he became their official trainer. Of the two sisters Cherry is the bigger personality. Quirky and outspoken, she’s pretty well known among the Killjoys. Her refusal to break when things are bad has made her proud and a tad assertive (maybe even bitchy at times.) She can command an entire room’s attention in a way not many people can. Despite all the attention she receives, few people are let into her circle of trust. Those solemn few include her sister, the Killjoy founders (mostly on principle,) and Adam Sharke. As someone who enjoys flirting for the sake of flirting, Cherry never really thought twice about the boys she talked to like that until Adam came along. The thing that set him apart was that he didn’t get flustered or flirt back. He was either oblivious or completely unaffected, which made him interesting. The two train together off the clock and Cherry likes that he doesn’t go easy on her just because she’s a girl like most of the guys do.
